Jan joined Giesecke+Devrient in 2006. Since then, he is active in the domain of high security products using secure element technology. During the past years, Jan contributed – among other things – to the standardisation activities for the German ID solution. Additionally, he has been responsible as G+D project lead for the funded projects OPTIMOS, OPTIMOS-2 and ONCE.
Currently, Jan is serving as vice-chair for the following standardization groups: GSMA Secured Applications for Mobile, GSMA eSIM#WG5, Eurosmart ISCI.
Jan has been head of the Security Consulting department at Giesecke+Devrient Mobile Security from 2016-2022. Since October 2022 Jan is Head of the TCD Security Organisation within Giesecke+Devrient Mobile Security.
