Paul is an expert on digital identity management at Bundesdruckerei. His focus is on identity credentials and protocols, wallet security, revocation and trust mechanisms for the upcoming eIDAS identity ecosystems. Paul contributed to the architecture proposal for the German Wallet project evaluating and improving the technological solutions and now works as an achitect for the government provided EUDI-Wallet. He is a pioneer for the topic of Wallet Attestations and contributes to international standardization. He studied IT science at Humboldt university in Berlin and gained 13 years of experience in Bundesdruckerei’s innovation team researching on the German ID card, physical access protocols, smartcards, biometrics, cryptography and Self-sovereign Identity.
