Since 2001 he is dealing with satellite IT- and cryptographic security especially for the EU Programme EU GNSS GALILEO. He is the Head of Section for Air and Space IT Security Systems within Federal Office for Information Security.
Furthermore, in context of GALILEO, his section is part of the German Competent PRS Authority (CPA) and thus responsible for the development and operation of the national PRS security management. As of 2019 his responsibility comprises all matters of cyber security for satellite systems in general.
