Uli Schlegel is ADVA’s technical expert for network security and encryption. He has over 18 years of experience in WDM technology and optical networking systems. His work has mainly focused on enterprise networks, solutions for storage and server connectivity. Currently he is driving product development for storage networking, on-the-fly encryption and various security topics spanning ADVA’s product lines.

In 2000, he joined ADVA and has held various positions within the company since then, including optical engineering, technical support management and systems consultant for WDM and SAN networks. He holds an engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing. Physikalische Technik) from the University of Applied Sciences (TFH) in Berlin, Germany.
