The World of Smart ID Solutions
Berlin I 22. – 24. Januar 2024
Dr. Nisha Jacob Kabakci currently serves as the deputy head of the hardware security department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security AISEC, where she has been working since 2012.
She leads the physical analysis and countermeasures research group, specializing in the analysis of cryptogrpahic implementations and embedded systems security in the hardware lab. She has led and
contributed to numerous projects dedicated to developing secure solutions for embedded systems and their security evaluations across various application domains. She holds a PhD from the Technical University of Munich and an MSc. in Embedded Systems Design from the University of Lugano, Switzerland. Before joining Fraunhofer AISEC, she was a researcher at Coding and Cryptography Research Group in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, focusing on efficient cryptographic implementations for resource-constrained devices.
