CETECOM ICT Services, provider of testing and certification services and Collis, a company providing consultancy and test tools to global financial, public transport, government and telecom markets, are very proud to announce that the development of tooling and services for VDV-Kernapplikations GmbH & Co. KG has been completed in version 1.106 resulting in VDV-KA Test Tools and lab. The core application (Kernapplikation – VDV KA) has been developed to ensure interoperability for a nation-wide eTicket system in Germany. This allows cashless travelling by the use of contactless smart cards all over the country using different transport companies. By introducing the VDV-KA Test Tools and lab and a related certification process, VDV-Kernapplikations GmbH & Co. KG ensures a proper implementation in all involved systems at a maximum reliability and security level. CETECOM’s test services for VDV KA systems are now live. All terminal types, clearing systems, SAMs and user cards can be subjected to the thorough field-proven certification test services of CETECOM ICT Services. CETECOM has been accredited by VDV to deliver these services. As a sub-contractor, Collis has designed and built test specifications and test equipment for the test lab, which runs on the proven Collis Conclusion Test Manager, a powerful engine that is able to approach each system under test via several interfaces simultaneously. The solution also uses Collis SmartLink Box and Collis SmartWave Box. In order to prepare for the certification testing by CETECOM, Collis also offers the Collis VDV-KA Test Tools for system manufactures. This is a lighter version of the tools used by CETECOM ICT Services in the certification process. This version covers 25 percent of the crucial tests for certifying terminals and cards.
