Within three months after contract signature a delegation of officers and technicians got a comprehensive training at SAFE ID’s headquarters for several weeks and had detailed inspection of the project progress. After successful factory acceptance test the system was shipped to Baghdad in December 2008 where the setup, training and joint operation was conducted within the first quarter of 2009. The citizens of Iraq now benefit from the alignment to international security standards and a faster application and passport issuance process. Since the personalization center was opened by the Honorable Minister of Interior Mr. Bolani, it has been inspected by delegates from the EU, the US and other countries. All of them congratulated the Iraqi Ministry of Interior to its modern system and processes, which complies with the latest security standards acknowledged worldwide. With the integration of biometric traits in the Iraqi passport SAFE ID increases the document security. www.safe-id.de
