The G-Plan opti-SIM is offered free to all new subscribers; existing subscribers may also upgrade their existing SIM cards, with the convenience of maintaining their current mobile numbers. This 128K Java card platform clearly gives Globe Telecom the tool and opportunity to maintain their leadership in service and technology in the Philippine market. In addition, since the G-plan Opti-SIM is compliant with both 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks, Globe Telecom and their third party application developers are able to continue to operate existing applications and services independently of the network technology.
